Clinical Findings and Prognosis of COVID-19 Patients with Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia: A Case Series

Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) is accompanied by high comorbidities and a worse prognosis in those with underlying diseases. Older men are more vulnerable to COVID-19 infection Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) accounts for large portion of this population, so study presented the clinical paraclinical features 20 patients BPH their outcome. The mean age participants was 76.8 ± 7.9 years. Respiratory symptoms most common complaints Ground glass opacities infiltration were frequent findings chest computed tomography. Mostly level C-reactive protein lactate dehydrogenase high, but hemoglobin lymphocyte count low. They underwent standard management all discharged stayed alive one-month follow-up. Besides prevalence mortality rate older men, present showed that had good prognosis.
